About the Party

Guilty Pleasures is an unashamedly glorious all-singing, all-dancing renouncement of pop music. In five short years it has become one of the biggest events and movements of the music scene; “a putative global phenomenon” no less, as The Guardian described it. Created by broadcaster and music fan Sean Rowley, the music at Guilty Pleasures is straight up pop, which for years was shamefully hidden away in people’s record collections afraid to admit their love for Hall and Oates, Dolly Parton and Toto.

These records have been set free. Sure, anyone can play them, but the cast of djs, dancers and performers extraordinaire are united in their passion for pop and it can be celebrated in full euphoric glee, free from irony and cynicism. They’re pretty good at throwing a party and certainly know how to have a good time!
